Plan a Visit

What you can expect

When you arrive at The Bridge (Pickering), you’ll be greeted by welcoming faces. Service begins with Jesus centred worship. As a church family we love to worship together in many ways –whether you close your eyes, raise your hands, flag or dance–we invite everyone to be engaged.

Throughout our time of worship you may see people bring an encouraging word, a Bible verse or share a picture God’s given them. These are all ways we glorify God and encourage one another in our faith. We value praying both individually and together for God’s healing, miracles and salvation.

Following worship, a Bible-based message is shared by our Senior Pastor, someone on our leadership team or a visiting speaker. At The Bridge, we have a culture of community and welcome you to stay after the service to mingle and connect with others.

Questions we’re frequently asked

What are the services like?

We start our Sundays with a big welcome! We love to greet you as you walk through the doors.  Our service starts at 10AM with a time of worship. We’re passionate in our worship and just like we see modelled in the Bible, we might lift up our hands, close our eyes, dance, flag or kneel. We invite everyone to respond to Jesus in the way they feel comfortable. We love to share encouraging words as the Holy Spirit leads and testimonies of what God is doing in our lives. After worship, one of the pastors (or a visiting speaker) will preach a message and before service ends we keep you updated on what’s coming up at The Bridge with announcements. We love to spend time together as a church family over tea and coffee, so we encourage you to join us after service in our cafe space.

What happens after service?

We love to spend time together as a church family after service over tea and coffee. We encourage you to join us after service in our cafe space, we’d love to get to know you.  On the first of the month after service we have our “Feast of Nations” a bring-and-share lunch together as a church family and a time to pray for the nations.

What should I wear?

Wear what’s comfortable for you, even casual wear. Some Bridge family members like to wear their Sunday best and others are comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. We truly encourage you to come as you are.

where do I park?

We have convenient on-site parking on the east, west and north sides of the building. Parking is free and plentiful and we also have accessible parking and entrances.

What about my kids?

On Sundays, we have a kids church program for children ages PreK – Grade 6. We are excited for our BridgeKids to connect again with friends, dive deep into God’s Word and learn more about Jesus.

For nursing, diapering and soothing we have a mother’s room available in the auditorium. We ask that you please tidy up toys after you’re finished and take any garbage out when you leave.

Will I have to do anything or be singled out in any way?

No, you’re our guest. You will not be pushed to do anything you don’t want to do. We won’t make you stand up in front of everybody as a first-time visitor, introduce yourself or give a donation. There are a lot of great people to meet and a lot of great things happening on a Sunday morning, but the level of your participation will be totally up to you.
