Connecting with God
In December 2017, I got sick. I was confused, worried, bewildered, weak. I saw the doctor, I received prayer but I still had this nagging feeling that something was not quite right. Jesus reminded me of the work I had done in my career to find out the root cause of equipment failing, processes not working or mistakes. I would come up with corrective action plans. I asked Jesus to help me do this root cause investigation upon myself. I was reminded of Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”. I knew this but was I living it? This was an eye opener. I asked Jesus to forgive me, received His forgiveness and asked for His grace to live out this truth in my life. My journey towards wellness began. I’ve learnt to ask for help. To believe and receive everything God has for me. I have this assurance that if I look up to Him and ask Him for help to be picked up and put back on the wagon, He does it. He never keeps count of how many times I fall off. He knows I am work in progress. God is King and I am His child, learning to live in this fullness of who He’s made me to be.
