September Quarterly Snapshot 2022

Our VBS was a resounding success! The kids had a great time learning about God’s wonderful love and purpose for them and how the Holy Spirit would help them share Him and His love with those around them. Each night we enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Ruth and her team. We learned memory verses and bible points, danced in worship, listened to Bible stories and object lessons, made crafts, participated in fun games and a favourite of all the kids… enjoyed a yummy snack and time with Sharky. On Wednesday night we had a beautiful time of ministry together and shared the gospel message. Throughout the week we collected both shoes and coins for Soles4Souls. At the end of the week we collected a total of 150 pairs of shoes and raised $360.70!  We had an incredible group of VBS partners from both The Bridge and other churches – you were all invaluable to us. Sharai and I could not have done it without you. A special thank you to our teachers Gen and Rochelle, as well as our team leaders Mathana, Ruth, Faith, Jade, Michelle, Jes, Jeanine, Ali and Greg, who each did a magnificent job of preparing and leading their teams. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to help with décor, prepping materials, driving, praying, and spreading the word. Please pray that the seeds that were planted will continue to grow as they are watered by the Holy Spirit. Looking forward to working together and doing it again next year! – Emmanuella & Sharai

We were so glad to be back this year for Church In The Park!  It was a beautiful sunny day with a cool breeze coming off the lake.  We worshipped together and heard a powerful message from Pastor Michael and enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch and fellowship after service and of course… BUBBLE SOCCER!  There’s something special about doing church outside and spending time together as a church family.  See you again in summer 2023!

an update from keir & callie tayler

Firstly thank you for your faith praying into a nation and ‘event’ that is so different to where you are. The word and power of prayer delivered from people with sincere hot hearts of for the lost is always felt and seen. We did a “Hospital Week” in the Civic Centre of town. People could come three times a day to hear and be healed by the message of the Gospel. They did. It was estimated over 50 people were saved and healed. 100% salvations and about 99% healed. It was a principle that if they came they were expectant to receive what they believed, and God was merciful. We did three nights of open-air power evangelism. Each night people were saved and prayed for by a team of volunteers from the Base Church in Krugersdorp.

On the final night (clip on FB & Instagram) a cripple who came with a crutch was totally healed. She carried it home. A deaf and mute was healed firstly she heard then began to seek uttering words as best she could. It was an attesting miracle. There were many healings during the week. A miraculous healing, is a sign and wonder to the area in which it happens – to Magaliesburg. Casting out of demons is in the category of the working of miracles or the miraculous. The combination of Gift of Faith and Working of Miracles, when preached in a message causes demons to be evicted.

The healing of that young girl is the sign to Magaliesburg that God will open ears to hear the gospel and to have a new voice into the community. A sign and wonder. The miraculous when it happens – is a message in itself to those who see what the Spirit is going to do in an area. The pastors need to note this attesting sign and wonder, and note what it has ’said’.  Always on the third night, things begin to happen.

There were many healings of shoulders being healed and diseases that could not be diagnosed by medical methods as a spirit of infirmity is a spirit not a disease as we know it like epilepsy.

A great result and to God be the Glory!  You are an amazing church and thank you all again for partnering into the nations.
