Eph 4:16 ….. the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
When writing a blog there is always something, a line of thought that triggers, the think tank into the blog, and the more I read and dwelt on certain scriptures, and the ideas of our last series, “Your Inheritance”; the more I was intrigued with us as the Bridge family. At the Bridge, part of our ethos is to create a church family, a place where one can Belong as a family member, where we Believe together, in Word and Spirit, and where we together Build for the future, an inheritance. Where every memeber of our family can serve Jesus.
I love the slide cover that Sharai came up with this mechano person, depicted as the body of Christ and each one of us a cog in the works making this body, this organism, breath and have life. Imagine with me which “cog’, are you and how does your activity or non – activity effect the rest of the body
The scriptures in Ephesians and the detailed explanation in 1 Corinthians, with regard to the different body parts, within the church, as enumerated, has always fascinated me. They with many other scriptures urge us all, to live connected and serving one another, and they emphasize our connectedness as a family. We know we all have gifts through Gods divine favor, through his grace to us of natural and Spiritual gifts.
I want to encourage you to find your place; partner with us so that the body builds itself up in love, as a result of each member doing their part.
There are many facets of the living organism that we call family; “The Bridge”, where your unique gift blend would be so welcomed and appreciated.
1 Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
As a suggestion, here are some of the areas that you can become involved in: Kid’s Church – Teaching or Assisting; Hospitality; Men’s Ministry; Ladies Ministry; Youth; Feast of Nations; Coffee Duty; Communion; Legends; Worship Team; Sound Desk; Media; Greeting People; Housekeeping, eg. Chair Straightening, Mother’s Room; Kid’s Playground Duty; etc, etc, etc.
I know this list seems endless, and it is, it takes many peoples hands, cogs in the system to help this body of believers, this church, this family we call the Bridge pulsate with the life and love of Christ
I would ask you to prayerfully consider where you would be a blessing to our body as a Member of the Bridge! You are all highly valued, and our serving one another is a noble task for the King and His Kingdom.
