Correct Values

2013-05-07_Cover2 Cor 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Phil 3:21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

These two scriptures are powerful in helping us to understand, that Gods intention in our lives is that we become more and more like His son Jesus.  Our father is all about transforming us. We know that right back in Genesis, we are told that we have been created in His image. We realize more and more that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, that there is a glory realm, that we are able to tap into and walk in, However we are often so earthly bound, that we can’t or won’t see it. Mostly because it’s not something that we can accomplish or make happen by ourselves. It’s based on what Jesus has done for us.

When I was in business, ( like I don’t have a real job now), there was not only the daily tasks and workload that was being accomplished, but for most people in the industry there was the will to improve. To change, to climb the corporate ladder, to better oneself, to gain a promotion to excel and succeed

A study was conducted, to make a point; that as a basis for success, there were 3 value factors to be considered, and how we would apply percentage values to these 3 factors; would go a long way in order to be successful.  It was put to this team of aspiring doyens of the industry, three questions.

What percentage of “Job Knowledge” was required? What percentage of “Experience in the Work Place” was required? and what percentage of “Attitude” was required?. Of course as best we could, we all got it wrong as we placed the emphasis for success on the incorrect value scale. The true result was most enlightening. The true break down was

Work Experience 1%; Job Knowledge was 2%, and yes you guessed it if you can do the math; Attitude was 97%. Complimented with the old adage, that the only thing in life, which is truly constant is change.

Often, in our walk with Christ, we have the wrong value system in play. We still think that we must perform, and do, and that Christ’s love for us is dependent on how well we do. However he has already done it all. He has promised that we with unveiled faces, as we look upon and behold the glory of the Lord, we are being transformed into the same image, ie the image of His son from one degree of glory to another. We are living a supernatural existence, being changed by the Spirit of God. Like the parable of the growing seed, “we know not how” . A lesson I have learned or better yet, am still learning, is that what still prevails, and that’s my part is that “attitude” is 100%. Our attitude will dictate our altitude. Our attitude to believe the word of God, the promises that Jesus has spoken, my love toward all men. My attitude when things go wrong, and I have no control over them.

Eph 4:23 to be made new in the attitude of your mind.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Be blessed as we are all changed into His image from one degree of glory to another. Allow the process of metamorphosis, to do it’s work through Christ.
