As we continue to look at our DNA, we are “created in the image of God” (Gen 1:27). We have been taken out of darkness into His glorious Kingdom (Col 1:13). We have a regeneration of DNA to become the children of God (John 1:12), belonging to the family of God.
As a local church, What is in our … DNA? We are a WORD and SPIRIT People. We revere the word of God and follow wholeheartedly the leading of the Holy Spirit, co-operating with Him, His will, His move, and His direction. We are not extremists to the exclusion of one or the other.
Jesus was LED into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit. He returned from the desert in the POWER of the Holy Spirit, after being tempted by Satan. Amazingly, Jesus’ response to these temptations was dealt with by the Word: “It is written”. Jesus, “full of” and “led by” the Holy Spirit, still needed the Word of God to refute and dismiss what must surely have been one of the greatest challenges He faced.
