Can we, for one moment imagine the awe, the wonder and amazement that Mary experienced – the emotions, the joy. Imagine a young girl, visited by an Angel of the Lord, with promises of a virgin birth. “How will this be” she asks. The Angel says: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you”.
In a time of blessing, remembrance of the birth of your saviour and gift exchanges, our hearts cry for Heights City Church is still more of you Lord. We may ask “how will this be”, but allow faith and a yearning for more rise up in our hearts for 2011. Over this season and into the New Year, may the Holy Spirit come upon us and we will be overshadowed by the most high.
