What to Expect

What time does the service start?

Sundays at 10:00am, we start our worship services as the Bridge family with prayer. We believe prayer is part of who we are, and so we encourage the whole church to join us for this vital link to our life. Thereafter we continue our worship with singing and a message by one of the pastors or a visiting speaker.

What is the style of your worship services?

We are not just singing songs about God. We’re singing songs to God because we believe He is present in our gatherings. We’re passionate about God, and the expressions of our passion is spontaneous and never forced. Sometimes, as we see modeled in the Bible, we’ll lift up our hands, close our eyes, dance or kneel. This varies form person to person and is your personal response to Christ.

How long does the service last?

The duration of a Sunday service is typically 90 minutes.

How can I meet people?

At the Bridge we have a wonderful Canadian tradition of a “coffee culture” where we gather after the service, and enjoy a great time of coffee/tea, meeting and chatting with people, in our amazing café.

On the 1st Sunday of most months, we have a “Feast of Nations” where our lunch selection is themed according to a different nation. It is a potluck style. However as our guest please feel free simply to partake of the meal with us. The meal is after the service and we gather in our café to eat together. It is a great opportunity to meet other people and learn about a different nation.

We also have “Connect Groups” where we meet weekly outside of the church, based on various types of interests, and what activity or topic that would interest you. These are run in concurrence with the school terms. Click here to learn more and to check out any current connect groups.

What are Prayer & Praise meetings?

As prayer is a portion of our worship we have regular Wednesday evening prayers at 7 PM. These are held out of school calendar, and operate when the Connect Groups are out of season. Click here to check the calendar for dates.

Are there programs for children?

Yes, on Sundays we have age appropriate classes available for toddlers through sixth graders .

What about children under 2 years?

We have an area where mothers can take their children during the service if they are unsettled and still hear the teaching; otherwise children are very welcome to join us in the auditorium.

Where do I park?

Parking is free and plentiful.

What should I wear?

Our dress code is casual. We want you to feel comfortable and encourage you to come as you are.

Will I be forced to do something I don’t want to do?

No, you’re our guest. You will not be pushed to do anything you don’t want to do. We will not make you stand up in front of everybody as a first-time guest or introduce yourself. There are a lot of great people to meet and a lot of great things happening on a Sunday morning, but the level of your participation will be totally up to you.
